Tulsi′s Story

For as long as I can remember, the mountains of Limassol were my home. I don't know exactly how old I was when I was left there, but I was very young. Someone took me high into the mountains and abandoned me on a lonely stretch of road. On one side stood the steep mountains, on the other dangerous cliffs that dropped into the forest below. It was a place where very few people ever passed by.

I was completely alone. I learned to survive the only way I could. I searched for shelter among the trees, endured the heat of summer and the cold winter nights, and waited by the roadside, hoping someone might stop.Thankfully, some kind-hearted people noticed me. Every now and then they would leave food and water for me. Their kindness kept me going. Without them, I don't know if I would have survived.

Nearly two years passed this way.

During that time, some people saw me with puppies. I became a mother more than once, but no one knows what happened to my babies. Life in the mountains is harsh, and their fate remains a mystery.Despite everything, I stayed close to that road. It was all I knew.

Then one day, my life changed.

The team at 2nd Chance Dogs came across a social media post about me. Instead of scrolling past, they decided to help. They drove up into the mountains, bringing a trap and endless patience. They set everything up and waited.

And waited.Five long hours passed.

I was scared. I didn't know whether I could trust them. Humans had abandoned me before. But hunger, curiosity, and perhaps a tiny bit of hope finally brought me close enough.

That day, the trap door closed behind me.For the first time in almost two years, I was safe.

No more lonely roads. No more sleeping in the forest. No more struggling to survive one day at a time.My mountain life was over, and a new chapter had finally begun.

Now all I need is the one thing I've never truly had—a family of my own.

Character & Temperament

I am a completely different dog from the one who first arrived here. Back then, everything was scary and unfamiliar, but look at me now—I am finally learning how to enjoy life to the fullest!

One of my favourite things in the world is my paddling pool. I absolutely love splashing around, cooling off, and having fun in the water. It's one of the highlights of my day!

I have also discovered just how wonderful humans can be. These days, I actively seek out human attention and affection whenever I can. I have turned into quite the little love bug and enjoy cuddles, gentle fusses, and spending time with my people.

I have made amazing progress, but I still have a few things left to learn. I am not yet comfortable wearing a harness or walking on a leash, so I will need a patient family who can continue helping me build my confidence. I am also still learning that car rides are nothing to worry about.

Once I feel comfortable walking on a leash, I will be dog and cat tested so everyone can learn more about the kind of furry friends I might enjoy living with.

For now, I am busy discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer, and every day I become a little braver, a little happier, and a little more confident. I can't wait to see what my future holds!

Ideal Home for Tulsi

My ideal home is one filled with love, understanding, and patience.

I have never lived inside a home before, so everything will be new to me. I don't know the rules of living in a house yet, and I am not toilet trained. My new family will need to show me, with kindness and positive guidance, what is expected of me and give me the time I need to adjust to my new life.

Like any dog starting over, I may make a few mistakes along the way. I will need patience, consistency, and encouragement while I learn a routine and gain confidence in my new surroundings.

I am making wonderful progress every day and discovering that life can be full of love, comfort, and fun. With the right family by my side, I will continue to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
